At the upcoming round of the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft, the 50th ADAC Barbarossapreis, Car Collection Motorsport will be entering the new version of the Audi R8 LMS for the first time. In addition to the Audi R8 LMS for the year 2019, the team from the Rheingau also starts with a current model of the GT3 car from Ingolstadt.
On October 2nd, the evolution model of the Audi R8 LMS was presented. At the 50th ADAC Barbarossapreis next weekend, Car Collection Motorsport, headed by team owner Peter Schmidt, is already using the new model on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife. Audi drivers Christopher Haase and Jamie Green share the development work for the first race of the 2019 car. The vehicle is starts in the SPX class.
In addition to the 2019 model, Car Collection Motorsport also starts with a current Audi R8 LMS GT3 in the SP9 class. Audi Sport driver Pierre Kaffer shares the car with Simon Trummer and Kim-Luis Schramm. Together they start in the „Professional“ class.
For the guys from Walluf near Wiesbaden the start in the green hell is not the only one this weekend. In Hockenheim, at the season finale of the DMV GTC, they enter the Audi R8 LMS GT4 of Jürgen Marschlich. Marschlich drives the two 30-minute runs of the DMV GTC, and in the 1-hour race for the Dunlop 60 he will share the car with Markus Pommer.
