The Car Collection Motorsport team will continue their extensive program in the coming season. Now the team from Walluf / Hessen around team boss Peter Schmidt announces the first program. Under the application „EFP Car Collection by TECE“ they take over the support of the two Audi R8 LMS GT3 in the Super Sports Car League.
The project was initiated by Elia Erhart and Florian Spengler. In the premiere year, the team gained a lot of experience and could record a race win for themselves. In the 2019 season, as in the previous year, Elia Erhart and Pierre Kaffer will race on the Audi R8 LMS GT3 #11. The sister car with #12 is shared by Florian Spengler and the new Audi Sport driver Mattia Drudi.
Peter Schmidt: „We are looking forward to working with Elia and Florian. They have gained a lot of experience in their premiere year and we will now build on that. The new evolutionary stage of the Audi R8 LMS GT3 is also well known to us through the operations in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Nonetheless, the 2019 season will again be a highly competitive year in the ADAC GT Masters. „
The ADAC GT Masters will again cover seven race weekends in the 2019 season. After the traditional season opener in Oschersleben, the Super Sports Car League will be in the Autodrom Most (Czech Republic). The Red Bull Ring (Austria) is followed by another away game before it continues on the Nürburgring and in Zandvoort (Netherlands). The last two season stations will take place again on German territory. The Hockenheimring as well as the big final at the Sachsenring will take place. All season stations of the ADAC GT Masters will be broadcasted as usual live on Free-TV by the TV channel Sport1.
Elia Erhart: „I’m really looking forward to the new season. After having already learned a lot in our debut year and constantly developing ourselves, I believe that we can rely on a very good basic framework. In addition, I am convinced that the new Audi R8 LMS will again offer a great deal of potential. I think that this year we can certainly provide some surprises.“
Florian Spengler: “I am very happy to be back in the car after the long winter break. I am also very excited about the upgrade kit for the Audi R8 LMS and at the same time convinced that the car will once again take a step in the right direction. With Car Collection Motorsport we have a very successful and experienced partner by our side and we are ready for good results!“
